Jar of Hearts
A website for an SEL educator and author who books workshops with schools and nonprofits.

Overview
Context
Jar of Hearts Inc. runs social-emotional learning workshops for schools, nonprofits, and emerging leaders. This was paid client work, delivered end to end.
The problem
What it needed to solve
The client needed one place that explains the workshops to a school administrator or nonprofit lead who is deciding whether to book.
One site that leads with the workshops, puts a free resource at the top of the funnel, and makes booking a two-click path from any page.
Contribution
My role in the work
- Took the project from an initial client conversation to a live site on their own domain.
- Built the page structure around the two actions that matter to the client: downloading a resource and booking a workshop.
- Delivered a responsive layout tested from phone widths up to desktop.
Decisions
Key decisions
- Led with the workshops rather than the biography — the visitor deciding whether to book needs the offering first.
- Used a warm, editorial palette and a serif headline to match the client's voice instead of defaulting to a generic corporate template.
- Kept a single primary call to action per screen so the next step is never ambiguous.
Implementation
How it was built
- Responsive page layouts and reusable interface patterns across the site.
- Production deployment on the client's own domain, myjarofhearts.com.
Outcome
What exists today
The site is live and serves as the client's public front door for workshop bookings and resource downloads.
